Lunyazi ("we", "us", "our") operates the lunyazi.com website and the Lunyazi API. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and company name when you register.
- Usage data: API calls, message recipients, timestamps, delivery status, and credit transactions.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information when you visit our website.
How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the SMS and OTP services.
- To process credit purchases and manage your account balance.
- To send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, low-credit alerts).
- To monitor service health and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Message data
We store message metadata (recipient number, timestamp, delivery status, provider) for usage tracking and billing. Message content is not stored after delivery, except temporarily in transit logs which are purged within 7 days.
Data sharing
We share data only with:
- SMS carriers (Tfumela, WinSMS, Clickatell) — recipient phone numbers and message content, as required to deliver your messages.
- AWS — infrastructure provider (hosting, database, email delivery).
We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Usage logs are retained for 12 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest for stored data. API keys are hashed before storage.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@lunyazi.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
